GTA 6: release date confirmed for November 19, 2026 — what we know (and don't yet)

The whole roleplay community has one eye on GTA 6, if only out of curiosity about where the Rockstar universe is headed next. Here’s where things actually stand, clearly separating what’s official from what’s still rumor.

The date is finally set: November 19, 2026

Rockstar has confirmed GTA 6 will release on November 19, 2026 for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. The game has been delayed twice: originally targeted for fall 2025, it first slipped to sometime in 2026 back in May 2025, then slipped again by six months in November 2025. Rockstar framed the extra time as needed to deliver the game “with the level of polish you have come to expect and deserve.”

The August 27, 2026 Extended Look

Rockstar released a 26-minute extended gameplay look on August 27, 2026 — notably premiering on Netflix before hitting YouTube. What was officially confirmed:

  • Two playable protagonists: Lucia Caminos and Jason Duval.
  • Setting: Leonida, a modern-day fictionalized take on Vice City and its surrounding Florida-inspired region.
  • A map roughly three times the size of Red Dead Redemption 2’s.
  • A campaign of roughly 80 hours.
  • Pricing: $80 for the Standard Edition, $99.99 for the Ultimate Edition.
  • Pre-orders have been open since June 25, 2026.

What is NOT confirmed — treat rumors with care

On the points that matter most to our community, some caution is warranted:

  • PC release: no date, no store listing, no system requirements have been announced by Rockstar. Only PS5 and Xbox Series X|S are official as of today.
  • A “GTA 6 Online” mode: nothing has been announced. Rockstar currently frames GTA 6 as a single-player experience. History (both GTA V and RDR2 got online modes a few weeks after launch) leaves the door open, but that’s precedent, not confirmation.
  • FiveM-style modding support: no official statement from Rockstar, either way, about whether third-party servers in the FiveM/RedM style will be supported for GTA 6. This is a genuinely open question the whole community — us included — is watching closely.
  • Leaks circulated in August 2026 by a group calling itself “CyberLeek,” claiming to show gameplay footage and a full map, are unverified — treat them as rumor only.

Why we’re covering this at KEOPS Studios

We don’t build for GTA 6 — there’s currently no FiveM-equivalent platform for it, nor any confirmation there will be one. But a release of this scale is bound to shake up the entire Rockstar ecosystem, FiveM and RedM included. We’ll keep tracking it and share verified updates as they come.
